The Season Ender
I know what it is.
It's that part in the episode at the end where all the main characters have their montage of everything that's happened to them in the past year. Where they each glance at one another and give a look as if to say, "hey we made it. Everything's gonna be alright." Then they share a plate of food or a cup of coffee as an indie rocker plays his song over it all.
Camera pans out towards the distance.

Which got me to thinking. We should do like a minute long season recap. The entire season in 1 minute. Or for purposes of this blog, 1 paragraph.
The beginning of the season starts off with our main character having just quit his job at the family business. How convenient for our character to have found a new job so quickly (ah these t.v. series are never realistic!) And not only is it a new job, but a dream job. Things are starting to finally fall into place for our hero. Then the series introduced new characters, namely, the new boss and the new people at the office. What intrigue and scheming did occur! Well, not much really but we saw our hero reach the lowest lows and the highest highs culminating with his glowing evaluation and salary adjustment. But now the future remains uncertain as the team gets reshuffled and friends are lost, gained and lost again. Some characters will be leaving, and we can expect some new ones to appear by next season. Our hero gets more responsibility and also more pressure. Can he hack it? We shall see. Also there's the reemergence of old characters coming back for another stint on the show however brief. Perhaps an old relationship will pick up where it left off, who knows? There's even more character development with the supporting cast as their own lives are further explored. Some are getting together, some can't seem to take the next step. Some never change. Everyone moves towards the inevitable end. Yet the friends remain as ever, the comfort of each other. We made it. Everything's gonna be alright.
